Three games played....three overtime victories. My post game thoughts were almost all positive.
Positive #1
Tomas Vokoun had a sneaky good game. Had he made even an attempt to save the two shots that scored--he made have ended up with a shutout. Both goals were a pretty weak...but 39 saves.

Ovechkin finally scored! It was nice to see him get a gritty goal. Hopefully, he continues to work around the net, get some garbage goals, and ultimately build some confidence. Bummer we didn't get to see a cele.

The Capitals convinced me they are going to have one of the top penalty kills in the league. The Caps went on the kill 5 times, only allowed one goal, and looked good doing it.
Negative #1
I tried to avoid it for as long as possible but....the toothless Jay Beagle got knocked the F out. There is no way around it. It was David vs. Goliath and David won. It probably warms the hearts of Pens fans that a fighter beat a non-fighter. However....

It was great to see the Caps rally to help out a teammate. Seeing the boys help him off the ice makes me believe the Caps are actually developing some sort of team chemistry. Ovie was talking shit to Ashum in the box and the players said some good things after the game as well.
Next time we play the Pens.....watch out
